‘‘The hairstyle of the season is the messy side plait, as seen at Giambattista Valli, Margaret Howell and Alexander Wang. It needs to be messy, frizzy and should be some flyaways. The key is not to have it perfect, strands are meant to be pulled away for a effortless look.

Tip: Do your hair before bedtime, wake up and head out the door!
THE DISHEVELLED PLAIT
HOW TO CREATE THE LOOK
1: Apply some Bumble & Bumble Surf spray on wet or dry hair and dry it in.
2: Use the Cloud Nine wide iron set on 125o and run it trough the hair taking thick, random rough sections to add shine and texture to the hair.
3: If you have a fringe, keep it choppy and messy , gather the hair on one side and plait into a rough braid.
4: Secure the ends with a snag free band and backbrush using your hand to create some flyaways and pull out some strands.
5: Use the tip of your fingers to massage the roots and get some volume.
6: Finish with a mist of light hairspray.

HOW TO GRT THE LOOK
1: Tie the hair into a ponytail on the top of the head.
2: Use Cloud Nine iron set at 150o, separate the ponytail into strands and the Cloud Nine soft wave technique.
3: Let cool down for 10 minutes and then brush out the curls using a flat brush.
4: Gently backbrush the hair and follow the movements given by the irons to pile up the hair on top of the head into a topknot.
5: Mist with some Bumble & Bumble Classic hairspray.

2: Gather the rest of the hair into a sleek ponytail on the back of the head using Bumble & Bumble Does it all hairspray and tie it into a tight ballet bun.
3: Braid the top section into small plaits.
4: Run the Cloud Nine wide irons set at 175o along each plait several times.
5: Let cool down for 15 minutes and release each braid.
6: Brush out the braids with a flat brush and pull them back over the bun to cover it. Secure with pins.
